I'd like to exclude some pages from the menu/nav bar that displays on the top of the page. Where do I adjust the code for this?

Hi Seamus!

I think the easiest way without bothering with the code is by page management via your WP admin dashboard, as below:

1) Login into your WP admin dashboard

2) Go to 'manage' (right under your site title)

3) Go to page

4) Click the title of the page you want to manage

5) View the publish status (nearly at right hand corner)

6) Choose whether to 'unpublish' or 'pending review', depending on what you want to do

7) Save settings and that should do on visiting the site again (you might need to refresh page to see changes-CTRL+F5)).

Let us know it goes.

If that isn't what you are looking for you might find the following discussion topics in the forums more useful

There are several different forays into trying to understand this issue. I'll warn you that the conversations get a little snarky sometimes, but there is still useful info there. :)
