Change photo in slideshow without uploading the zip again? |

I have a wp theme with the slideshow in it. If I upload the zip file with the new slideshow in it and tell it to include content, it will change picture names and such making a great deal of work. Is there a way to swap out the picture via ftp instead? I found the content folder with the images and I swapped the new image there, but it is not showing up. I looked through the entire WP folder and do not see anywhere else where the pictures for the slideshow are held.

there is a folder with images? WHERE IS THERE? HELP!! =O (u only change the images but no add more than u have, right?
