Hi there,

I searched this forum but couldn't find a resent topic reagarding my problem.
I can import the created template (no errors) and import content (also no warnings) but de content is not visible.
I tried it with a complete new site, but no luck. I also tried to solve the problem by setting te acces rights on the template folder (777 instead of 755) but also no luck.

Please advice.

Many regards,

Marcel

Hi Marcel,

After you've exported your project to Joomla please make sure that you run Import content option in Joomla Template manager for your exported template.
Then it should work fine.

Hi,

I know is should use the import button.
I tried that many times but it doesn't work. The only data that's imported is the picture in the header (although I don't know if that's from importing the template or the content).

Any how, no layout, menu's or anything else is shown.

Please advice

Might it be a php/mysql problem?
The import will work with Joomla 3.4.7 on PHP 5.3/MySQL 5.5.5 but not with PHP 5.5/MySQL 5.5.44

Or does it require a special php function which is disabled?

I have the same issue as Michael Jardi. Please advise. I am also receiving the following error when I tried to use the Joomla 3.x template:

templates/templatename/html/layouts/joomla/content/tags.php on line 11

All,
I had this happen to me yesterday.
What I ended up doing to fix it, is to use a new template from the artisteer library.
So, I first exported my current work as an html template so it exported all my content, etc.
Then started a new project and just chose one of the templates from the library that pops up.
I recreated all my info on this new template, exported and installed it on the site and was finally able to import the content with no issues.

I hope this helps.

I found a simply solution
Install Joomla 2.5.28 on a local server as xampp
Create a artisteer template and save him for Joomla 2.5
Import artisteer templat easely in Joomla 2.5
Than update Joomla to 3
If your website is not to complecate than it works !!

I've just submitted the problem to Artisteer support this ticket:
"CMS used: Joomla.
licence code XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Import content doesn't work .
I'm running Artisteer last version (just purchased) and joomla last version.
http://www.mysite.it/
Please provide a solution"

and i've got immediate reply:

"Hello Marcello,
Do you see any particular error message?
Here are some general problems that may prevent from importing the content:
Error 500: 500 error indicates an issue with the permissions on your site but it can be caused by many things but unfortunately we cannot remotely debug your stack.
You can also try this checklist below to eliminate the error.
- check your file folder and file permissions.
Please check your file and folder permissions.
Please make sure that you have "755" permission to all of your "templates" folders and 644 for files.
On a joomla hosting server usually access permissions are granted to user groups (not to individual users).
The access permissions for groups are different from users permissions.
So if 755 for template folder is not enough, most probably the access to this folder is restricted by user group so you may need to change the group permissions.
Make sure to apply permissions recursively and assign at least 775 for modules.js file.
Also check your server settings to make sure there isn't an issue with running php scripts.
- make sure the version of php is up to date for your version of joomla.
- make sure you export with Artisteer 4.3 and select the correct joomla version (should be 3.3 even though you are using joomla 3.4).
- check your php settings.
I can't tell you what to use but my settings are
max_execution_time =300
post_max_size = 8M
upload_max_filesize = 120M
if you change these settings make sure you check the effective settings in joomla first
- turn on full error reporting in php and check your server and php logs for any errors.
- if you still cannot get things to work, try setting up a local joomla server using something like xampp.
Once you have your site configured and working locally then you should have a configuration you can compare to your remote server.

Hello!

My problem, that the Artisteer 4.3 does not support the export of the joomla template.

These are export opportunities:

website template
blogger template
tumblr theme
wordpress theme

Best regards
Gabi
