Am using latest registered Artisteer, Version 4.3.0.60745. Running latest Joomla 3.4.

Am building a simple template and most things work.

One problem am having is I've created a Main Menu, a Second Menu, then have the Login menu that is default from Joomla. Have tried a ton of selections inside Artisteer to try and change fonts, font size, font color, hyperlinks in these menus for Active, Hovered, Visited... you get the idea. I have been able to affect changes to sub menus and links, but for the life of me I can't get these menus to change. Am just trying to change these simple menus and the font characteristics.

The site is http://davehugheslegacy.net

Can anyone just take a peek and let me know what I should be doing to change these left menus and their font characteristics? Tx

Did you design the vmenu in artisteer? If so, you need to add art-vmenu in the module class suffix with a leading space. as of right now it has a class of menu.

If you need additional help let me know.

Thank you for both of your replies. It appears you have identified the issue. I've been searching for what this means but if I may ask... where do I apply, or un-apply, or how do I deal with what is 'over-riding the code'?

thank you

If I remember correctly, you had a class of menu when I viewed the site last week so do something like this.

.menu a:-webkit-any-link {
font-size:27px!important;
text-decoration: none!important;
}

Ok. Thank you for replying back. I understand something is blocking something but I need to ask as I am not a coder by any stretch, so can you talk to me like I am a Golden Retriever.... where do I change this value, and what do I change it to? I will search for how to do this but in the meantime, help?

thanks, david

Ok, adding art-vmenu worked to open up font abnd menu control. Cool.

However, it broke displaying sub-menus. Can you point me to a thread that shows how to get sub-menu display working again? I've been searched but just about everything is for Joomla 2.5 and the recommendations are not matching Joomla 3.*.

thank you again

Hello,

Am using Chrome, two or three versions of Firefox (all Linux/Ubuntu based), and when I make enough changes will have others test in their browsers that span across Windows Explorer, Mac, Linux.

Am adding a couple of images that show the Noteworthy menu block that contains the active sub menus. One graphic with art-vmenu applied the Module Class Suffix box, and one without.

The graphic that shows the submenus is the one that does Not have the art-vmenu applied, and also shows the control over the font characteristics is lost. The graphic that has the art-vmenu applied loses the submenus display but... the font characteristics then work.

So while including the art-vmenu solved the font management throughout the site, it disabled the submenus.

If you can point me to where or how to regain these submenus, that would be most helpful. And trust me, I do research all this before asking so am not being lazy. Just can't find the answer yet.

Thank you for your continued help. tx

PS, was unable to insert images into the message so I have left the menu block for NOTEWORTHY in the site http://davehugheslegacy.net without the art-vmenu variable applied. You will see submenus displaying. When I apply art-vmenu, the fonts controls work for this specific menu. When I remove the art-vmenu variable from this specific menu, the font controls disappear for this menu block, but the submenus appear. (Sorry for the overwordy overexplanation)

Update... have searched and searched but have not been able to find a solution to the above post. Where adding art-vmenu fixes the font control sitewide, but breaks the sub-menu display.

The above message overexplains it...

So just posting this update that I have not been able to solve it yet through searching... help please?

tx

When I add art-vmenu to the 2nd menu(Noteworthy) I get some sort of script error.
The hover starts going crazy. Also, the code on the two menu's don't look the same.

What version of artisteer and joomla are you using?
If its the latest 4.3 then you can send me the artx file and I'll test on a joomla install.
If you already have a zip file I can also test from that.

Let me know.

For some reason NoteWorthy menu looks to be using art-block.
In joomla did you use menu module or custom module?

Version of Artisteer is latest, Version 4.3.0.60745. Running latest Joomla 3.4.4 Stable [ Ember ]. Joomla 3.4.5 is available and am going to upgrade to it today.

I will send both an artx file and the ZIP extract file too. Not sure why the code does not look the same as they are both rendered from the same Joomla installation.

What I may do is just rebuild both Main and Noteworthy menus from scratch and see if that possibly overcomes the issue. I've been trying a slew of things to just get the submenus in Noteworthy to display… a bummer because it is such a simple thing but danged if I can figure it out. Will send the files.

Also to answer your question “For some reason NoteWorthy menu looks to be using art-block. In joomla did you use menu module or custom module?”, It is a Menu Module.

Thank you for your continued help. Sorry this I such a pain. Such a simple thing too….

I will send the artx and zip files when I am able to get to the machine that contains them. Not like you are sitting at your computer waiting... joking intended.... but will be a couple or so more hours.
