Background expantion with window size

In order to make the image fit how I want it to be shown in Artisteer I have had to put my image on a large white background so that my image can be viewed at the correct size as Artisteer automatically zooms in on my background image. This in itself wasn't a problem until it appeared in wordpress. As the background is larger than the image section I want to show, my image does not expand when viewed on different sized platforms, depending on the users screen size, however the text and images I input through wordpress do expand. My background image seperates my three column structure and therefore all my content is in three structures which expands with the size of the platform but my background image does not. Can anyone suggest a way I can get my image at the correct size so Artisteer doesn't zoom in on one section so my background will expand with the rest of my sites content, which I haveinput through wordpress?
