When importing a template, made by Artisteer 4.3, and making the mistake of 'importing content', it is impossible to remove the footer.
Even if we disable the modules, the footer stays visible

How do we get rid of this unwanted modules?

Seppe, if the footer has multiple modules in it, make sure you have removed all the modules - they may look as footer 1, footer 2 etc. or position-32, position-33 etc. according to footer content layout cells. This link may help relating working with footer:

The only way to get rid of it, is edit the index.php

But if we do this, and later on, we want to update our template, it says:

Jinstaller blablabla failed to overwrite index.php

Artisteer gets worse and worse

Where is this good old version 2, where we just made a template, and don't need to fight with content?

At this moment, there are no modules on my website, exept for the menu, and my own created footer.

For this last one, it doesn't even show up because of the existing footer.

Even if I delete the footer in Artisteer, export en import the template, it won't work

I have the same problem. Is there a fix for this?

I was able to make the footer disappear by making this modification on the template:
Put cursor on cell you want to remove.
Right click
Select "Edit Source HTML"
Clear all the code in the window that pops up.
I wish Artisteer had continued to be just about template, not content. It has lost the simplicity that made it so valuable. The responsive design, though, is wonderful.
