Could you implement the possibility to set the background color to be transparent and a very low level position (before all of them) get the possibility to use Joomla extension like Extro Background Slider.
I'm fed up to manually modify my themes to be compatible with them :p.

Yes I also would prefer such a feature (using Artisteer templates with Joomla together with 3rd party background module). Didn't show up until I set "background: transparent;" in "#art_main" of "template.css"! Cost me 2 hours to resolve the issue!
