Wish I'd seen this about an hour and a half earlier. Just brought another product for about the same price and so far I'll admit I am not impressed with it.
(not been able to get a single thing to work from it's tutorials which match nothing on my screen)

This looks like it would of been a much better purchase. Oh well, when I have another spare $40 I'll get this if I have no luck with the other plugin.

I am looking your homepage and i have no clue what your add on/plugin can do. And i am not a Artisteer beginner.

OK, thanks. I missed button.
Still not impressed. it is OK for some beginners.

Small advice, separate featured image and excerpts. Artisteer make it native way anyway.

But it is promising, columns, left sidebar under content, etc...

How long are you going to support wp tuxedo?
It looks like your developing a desktop app.
What happens to wp tuxedo?

For as long as it's relevant. Being an Artisteer plugin I'm relying on the continued existence of Artisteer. Right now we support 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. Who's to say where Artisteer and WordPress themes will be in the next 5 years let alone the next decade.

Regardless of my other software projects I plan to support WP Tuxedo, and many of the features will be shared with other projects as well.

Extensoft put all their chips on BillionThemler.

I tried it. Hard to use and so slow. It was pure torture to me.

Also I've been using photoshop for over a decade. Artisteer at least has a similar layout of menu options. Themelr is alien and unfamiliar. It's like starting over, All the options are in weird non standard places. It's also not a good fit because of the framework. I create website designs for clients. It's not good to give the client the ability to destroy their website design on their own. And they will if given the option.

I personally do not hold a lot of faith in Extensoft any longer. Even the new stuff is sadly years behind the curve.

Trevor keeps promising new software. I wont hold my breath either. He doesn't even have a flawed beta developed yet.

But at least Trevor's plugin will let you export and work offline.

Never mind. Trevor is a jerk. He would rather a post be deleted than give an honest reply.

We wouldn't use his software now even if it was free.

@ Me

Sorry, what's the issue exactly? Didn't see the original thread or replies.

Trevor seems extremely responsive on his own site forum. He's also very quick when it comes to squishing bugs. Sometimes, within hours of it being reported.

That a hell of a lot better than Templateer who took everyone's money then disappeared. You want buggy, there you go.

@trevor

I'm all for free speech, and as you can see, anonymity.

But I do take exception to the personal attacks on you and your honest efforts with your plugin.

If I were you, I would approach Artisteer support directly and ask them for the true source of these posts - they have helped me in the past....

Or better still - just ignore it as background noise.

@wondering

No need to slag off templateer. It works fine on pre 4.3 releases.

No support isn't good. But the plugin doesn't require rocket science to use effectively.

Didn't you see the deleted thread were he refused to answer any questions?

Are you trying to cause an international incident? Are you saying Extensoft leaks customers information?

No one is attacking Trevor out of the blue. My response is a direct result from his response or lack there of. It is my personal opinion from everything Trevor has written in this forum.

We are not impressed with his behavior. It's as plain and simple as that.

What is done cannot be undone. Trevor chose to make a fool of himself in this forum and he chose to give attitude rather than answer a simple questions about his ap.

The trolling and baiting are an unfortunate side effect of the way these forums are set up. Just ignore it.

Okay Trevor. We'll take that as your final answer.

We are dead serious. Oh well. Don't even bother with your software.

We do have much deeper pockets than you. We will find another solution even if we have to start from scratch.

You'd be amazed what can be done if you throw enough money at something.

Fair enough... Take care.

Judy none of the other stuff is your fault for posting, it's common for folks to troll these boards. I never took any issue with your posts or what you wanted to do, only in the way you were stating the issue. I for one would be very interested in how you decide to design your site for a large screen. The common approach nowadays is people won't want the site to adapt to that large of a width, I also couldn't imagine surfing a site on a 30" wide monitor and having the site expand the width of the screen, it would almost be too much to take in, but that's why I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

Which sidebar issues are you referring to with Tuxedo?

Correction: I sit 10' away from a 40" HDTV.

The issue there you may run into is how will you know if you're site is being pulled up on a 40" screen like yours or on a 15" laptop screen if both run at 1920px? You may be interested in trying @media tv instead of screen to try and target your television, but I don't know if the browser will report it as such. A great site you may find useful is http://cssmediaqueries.com/overview.html which may give you an idea on how to target that display.

No it wasn't her fault as all. It was your fault.

Instead of an apology for your actions you start calling everyone trolls. How pathetic is that? Your not a people person are you. You just dig deeper and deeper. Nice. Maybe your strike oil soon. Or hell.

Whatever I don't care. But your on the list now. Once again take care and good luck with what it is you do. This is the long game...

When I checked out Tuxedo's forum, I saw posts about problems with 2 sidebars. I haven't yet tested my design exported of 2 blog sidebars and 1 post/page but will do so within the week. I don't know how those forum posts got resolved as I haven't visited recently..

https://www.sven.de/dpi/ is an online DPI/PPI calculator that shows my HDTV at 55.07 PPI so NOW I understand why my beta renders the way it does on it. I need to do more research on this topic.

Here's some nice code I am considering http://toddmotto.com/viewport-dynamic-width-calculation-retina-and-pixel-ratio-javascript-widget/

The DPI/PPI ratio is based on a calculation of px and screen size so I need that in the queries. Not all browsers support the ratio but there are always ways to make it work. Or, it may not be worth dealing that market segment so I'd go with Artisteer's viewport.

WP Tux makes a lot of plugins to function properly.

If any bugs or problems, Trevor and friends in WP Tux always help.
