Hi Guys
Created a template with links from the sidebar to pages on the site. When testing it locally, it works. but does not work after uploading the template into WordPress.

In which section in WordPress do one get the actual code. I am willing to learn how to fix it manually.

Many Thanks
Peter

I just thought it would be better I included the URL as well.
This is just a test domain, http://www.gigs24.co.za

Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you look at the links in your horizontal menu they all are formatted like
http://www.gigs24.co.za/index.php/ the ones in the side bar do not contain the index.php part. I am not sure why you would have index.php in your links url. You may want yo check how you have the permalinks set up.

You should be able to update the sidebar links. Under Appearance / Widgets / Primary Widget Area

HI Thanks for the help.
When I change the permalink to "http://www.gigs24.co.za/%postname%/" non of the links work and when I set it to "http://www.gigs24.co.za/index.php/%postname%/" all the page an footer links work except for the links in the sidebar.
I had a look at Primary widget area and there is nothing in it,
do you think the fact that the template was uploaded including content from Artisteer might have something to do with I?.

It is possible that it may have a different link in the sidebar is the permalinks was changed after upload maybe. You still should have access to the sidebar data. Look through the other widgets like the Secondary Widget area as well to see it it is listed. If it is not using a sidebar it should allow you to edit the page and change those details.

I don't see a sidebar for your content so it is possible you can change those links in the page edit area.

I would recommend using setting permalnk to postname at least if you tend on doing any SEO for the site later on.

You have some links on the site pointing to file:// which would be on your local computer.

If you need some help getting this straightened out drop me a e-mail at temp@justforblogs.com and I will see if I can help get it working for you.

Thanks. I agree with setting permalnks to postname. This is a test sit and eventually it has to be moved to the real domain and then I will start with the SEO.

I will drop you a mail.
Many thanks
