Hi all. Ive never tried adding the "Search" button from Artisteer before, so im having a go. Normally i just add the widget - Search once the theme has been installed in wordpress itself. And Its really odd - if you try to add "search" button, it just doesn't appear. Try again, and again....eventually it may appear, and there it is. Delete it, and then try again...nothing. very odd!

Anyway, Im assuming there would be extra code somewhere down the line we will have to place for it to work properly, but im wondering if anyone has given it a go? And that it works? thanks

Richard,

Where are you adding the search button? Only option I see is when selecting the control search - search options - button in Artisteer. Then changing the image changes the button. I tried a few times but could not duplicate what you experienced.

Im trying to place it in the header.

Its annoying, as the default template you get from artisteer - just the basic one straight out of the program - has the "Search" button. And its in the header. if you delete the "Search" one they place -and then try to get it back - nothing.

Is there some other way to bring the search button back? Like i said, the only way i can see it properly is: Controls; Search.

May have to ask Artisteer support.....

After you delete it and you click on header from the Artisteer Menu, then select controls from where it says Image / Shapes / Controls from there is where you are adding the search back to the header?

Also, after it is added back, get out of the header bar and click controls which should show a bunch of styles for the search bar. Does changing those have any effect?

Then under that same area, the more options should give you the ability to change the search icon that is shown with the search box.

Is that what you are doing?

Ahhh yes, that seems to do the trick!

Im yet to add the "Search" in Artisteer; then install plugin in wordpress. Normally, i add a Search in the widget in wordpress itself.

Does the artisteer "Search" actually work? Or do we have to add the code ourselves? thanks

Richard, in Artisteer you can create design for the Search but the functionality should be added later - either manually, or by using a corresponding module or widget in a CMS (like you haev actually done it).

Machiel, for me the search on the page works this way: after the initial search was done in header, it works then on page as should, but from beginning it does not. Please check whether it works the same way with a default Wordpress theme. If it is the same, it is related to the widget funcitonality.

Thanks Antonia,
In other themes it's also not working on the page with this HTML

<form class="art-search" name="search" action="#" id="search"><input type="text"><a class="art-search-button" href="#" onclick="javascript:jQuery(this).parents('form').submit();"><span class="art-search-button-text">Search</span></a></form><p></p><p><br></p>

In the header it works great, specially with the swiftype plugin.
The thing with the responsive header is that the search-box will change position, going over logo etc.
Thats why I wanted to plac it on seperate page.

In addition, online gambling has many other advantages for players. For example, an online casino https://slots-online-canada.ca/free-slots/classic-slots/ not only offer free slot machines, but also help to form communities where people can establish friendships and help themselves through these communities.
