Responsive images header .gif format

I found a lot of these images won't resize responsively unless you manually edit the associated .css.

Simple solution for those not wanting to edit .css is to convert the image to .gif format.

Pro's: The image will be 5-10KB in size which is a plus.
Resizes in all browsers so responsive from the get-go.

Con's: 8 bit format so only 256 colours
Need a tool to convert so the image doesn't pixelate
