I am trying to get my header to be fixed and then resize on scroll like the one in this link http://callmenick.com/tutorial-demos/resize-header-on-scroll/ Does anyone have any idea how I can achieve this in a wordpress theme? I have tried, but I must be going wrong somewhere  Any help would be appreciated.

@? Thanks for the link, but it doesn't really help. I have the necessary source files but I am not yet skilled enough to know how to integrate these into a WordPress theme.
I have included a link to to the js files in header.php and I have adjusted the style sheet to suit. Where would I add the html? Sorry for all the questions
