Hello,

Iam just wondering why my theme:

1) created in Artisteer (4.2.0.60623)exported ...
2) ... and imported in Wordpress (3.8.1) ...

... displays PAGE TITLEs in wordpress page overview incorrectly as "New page" instead of using my names given in Artisteer. Two pages have different (but not correct) titles: Home and Contact Us. Theese names come from template available in Artisteer.

Could you please explain how to fix this?

Thx for helping.

BR

The way you fix this is to go into the screen options at the top of the page editor in Wordpress and show "custom fields".

You should see "new page" as a field. Change or erase that.

Hello,

sorry, but this is not the problem. The problem is that exported content is not correct for PAGE tag:

<page author="" caption="Service" customHeadHtml="" dateModified="03/06/2014 16:26:07" description="" keywords="" metaTags="" name="service" path="/service" showInHmenu="True" showInVmenu="True" showTitle="False" title="Neue Seite" titleInBrowser="Neue Seite">

Caption is OK=Service... but look at title="Neue Seite" and titleInBrowser="Neue Seite" (Neue Seite = New page in gernam). This is set automatically after creating new page. But not change after renaming and export.

Please recheck once again, I suppose this is a bug.

Thx
Joe

The way I fix this bug is to do what I had mentioned. These may be two different bugs, but with the same outcome.

I think my problem arises when only the menu item and not it's page has the title changed from the default.

I'm glad you were able to fix it.

Hello,

Iam sorry, but I haven't written that I have fixed the problem. This was only reproduction description. Your solution describes changing of page title separately for each page. This is definitely no good solution. Names set in artisteer shoud be imported correctly in Wordpress.

Thx Joe.

I have the same problem as Joe (v 4.2.0.60623) but all the pages are named "home". I think it depends on the fact that I duplicated the homepage several times, but it shouldn't behave that way.

Same thing with me. The title names are all new page or home and noe of the description information I have entered with artisteer gets carried over in joomla or wordpress.

:-< I am using Artisteer version 4.2.0.60623 . I created the WordPress zip file. Upload to WordPress. All Titles say 'New Page'. I need to manually change all pages to the correct title name. For some reason they are not being updated properly when Artisteer WordPress zip file is uploaded and with new content. This was not an issue in prior versions.

Is there a resolution to this problem? I have 10 websites for 10 WordPress clients this week which needs to be uploaded. It ill take me hours to do this manually.

Do anyone have a solution?

Thank you

The page titles should be set as follows:

http://cdn.extensoft.com/4/108102449/20140430/104935.rename.png

After theme activation it's possible to edit the titles for each page.

Setting the page title by editing the headline directly in the body of the document after showing the article title solved the issue for me.

Thank you

:-(

THIS did NOT work for me - I went back and make sure all are renamed and still get the "new page" in wordpress - not very happy - I bought this version for this to make life easier and now it is more work

I can explain the issue you've encountered.
There are different fields for page names that can confuse.

Please see this screenshot:

So, when you enter the page name in the left sidebar, that page name is what's used in menu (in case if that page is included in the menu).
When you enter the page name under the page, this is what's used on the page itself.

There are cases when users want to have different names for the page in menu and on that page itself.

So when you enter the page name under the page, it will be exported to WordPress and shown in "Pages" admin panel.

Best regards,
Elvira
