I have created a website using Artisteer and exported it (including content) as a word press theme

Im trying to upload the content.xml file to my website hosted with GoDaddy. The upload fails with

"This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number"

I then did an export from goDaddy of a wordpress site to see what the xml looked like

The Artisteer xml doesn't appear to look anything like the GoDaddy XML.

TheGoDaddy xml has a heap of <wp:> tags in the xml which includes version information etc

The Artisteer xml starts with a <site> tag and then includes the content of the website

I'm wondering why the difference in formats and how I can get an export from Artisteer that GoDaddy will accept?

I have to use the Artisteer importer? I have already got an export of what I have designed in Artisteer. I uploaded the theme to GoDaddy successfully and activated it.

It did not ask me if I wanted to upload content after activation so that's when I tried to import the content using the content.xml file which was part of the Aristeer export

Does anyone have a solution to this please? Could I use FTP? I suppose this wouldn't update the page content though. I'm using the latest version of WP and Artisteer 4.3.0.60745.
