Columns in Blogger Footer |

After creating a 3 column footer in artisteer and publishing to Blogger, my layout in Blogger ignores the 3 columns and any headers I created and simply includes one page width gadget for me to enter the 3 links.
The footer is such an important area and I needed 3 headers in the footer with several links underneath each header. This doesn't seem possible in Blogger. Like an earlier poster, it also doesn't seem possible to design a layout with cells and rows for posts as when uploaded they all appear underneath each other.
Would really like to know if anyone has managed to created a multi column footer for links using artisteer for Blogger.
