let's get back to basics with the headers. The CSS code is WAY out of control and it has become too difficult to use Artisteer for aligning the site title/slogan left/center/right/whatever. Ex: i'm writing a theme where the menu and header are outside of the sheet, inline and aligned left, while the sheet w/ it's content is aligned toward the right. Can't do this with Artisteer because simple float:left tags are replaced with complex nested div tags and negative margins.
You're trying to do too much - simpler works better.
