Hi, my love/hate relationship with artisteer continues ....

What puzzles me today is WHY i am missing my right column on my 3 column layout.
All pages, except the blog page (which is also my home page) display the correct layout.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've never had this issue on my sites -- can you please link to yours?

ZACH!!
What a small world, I just watched some of your tuts the other day.

OK, here's my setup.
I run a WPMU with about 10 sites and used Artisteer 3 with Templateer for all my themes.
Like many, I've upgraded to version 4 and have a hard time with it.

My personal site which, for the time being, has a theme made with the latest version of Artisteer is:

http://ernstrenner.com

The "HOME" page is just the standard blog page and there are a few other pages which do have the three column layout as designed.

I am strongly considering to go back to XHTML/CSS driven sites because without Artisteer, it simply takes too much time to make the templates.

Ano now, Artisteer is no longer the time-saver that is was.

Or, I can just download version three for Windows (the mac version crashes as soon as I change colors) and live with the old and outdated doctype?

I don't know what to do.

Since this is not an open-source project, there is no hope that someone will fix the current mess which is a shame.
The product was great before it became useless.

//* end of rant (sorry, it's been a long day and I am seriously behind on a few projects) *//

Ha ha, awesome! Hope you enjoyed 'em. :)

For starters, I like that you commented out where you said "end of rant," lol.

Here's what I'd suggest: create a page in your site that's actually called "home," and choose to use a 3 column layout. Then test to see that they're all there. THEN, go into settings -> reading, and designate it as your blog page, and see if the columns are still there. If so, go back into the settings and also choose it as your site's home page and see if they're still there. Basically, I'm just trying to isolate the problem.

Don't give up on Artisteer yet my man, it still saves me a bunch of time, and will for you too once you get past these couple of hiccups. :)

YES, I did enjoy your videos!

They are the best thing around for countless Artisteer users. Really well done as far as production and information goes.

Last night, while tweaking the template I found a way to get a single column page with the help of The Templateer.

Now I can just style away.

I have never figured out why the right column is not showing on the blog page but it doesn't bug me anymore as it shows on all single-post pages.

The bonus was the I started experimenting with settings and ended up with a better theme that I previously had.
So all in all, it wasn't a complete waste of time and I should be alright now.

Thanks for the suggestions and good luck with your project(s).

If I come across anyone who wants to learn how Artisteer ticks, I will send 'em your way. :)

Glad to hear it, and thanks so much for the praises! :)

As long as you fixed it, I guess that's what's important, right? Keep in touch if you run into other issues!

I have this very same issue on several of my sites. One here - http://www.4youproductions.com/blog/, and the other here - http://www.bookmarketingservices.org/blog/.

It only happens when I set Settings | Reading | Posts Page. Prior to this, the 3 column template displays just fine.

I am using Templateer - FYI.

I have played with the Blog page template changing it to different Templateer templates, but it still doesn't fix it.

Any advice is most appreciated.

Heather

Just an update - I exported my Artisteer template without using Templateer and I no longer have the issue of the 3rd column disappearing. So, that narrows the issue down to Templateer in my opinion. Either I'm not setting something correctly on the Blog page or this is a Templateer issue. But, I'll explore that another day.

I have the same problem and can't figure it out.
Before publishing my website I tested in Microsoft Web Matrix and everything was as should be. Unfortunately after uploading to server the problem appears again.
I am using Artisteer 4.2 and new vers of Templatter 4
