I would like to create several page templates. For instance i would like toe have a two coloum layout. But not on every page i want the left coloum to have a sidebare menu. In several cases I want hit to be empty. I think i need anouther page layout for this.

Hi Dimitri,
With the plugin called "Display widgets" you can choose whether to have widgets on pages or don't show them on pages at all.

In Artisteer you make a three or two column template so Wordpress + this plugin will give you the option to put them in a certain column.

I am 100% in agreement with Nick, but I do also like creating multiple page templates in addition to using the checkboxes, to streamline certain functionality tweaks. For example, I have a page template for sales pages, where I have custom CSS styles that I want only applied to sales pages, since Artisteer appends the page template as a class to the body tag.

I did a video a while ago where I showed someone how to create a new page template (in his case, he wanted it to just show static HTML, but you can ignore that part.) You can check it out here:

And LenW, I personally would say to just make the manual adjustments to get the grid listing the way you want and simply not update your theme in the future -- just make any tweaks you have with CSS alone. (That's what I do on my sites.)

Hope that helps a little.

I agree with Ron

"Nick, I don't see where you can edit each page and remove the sidebar. I remove from one page and it's gone for all. "

Yes, from Wordpress. If you remove it from Artisteer, you will be removing it from the entire theme.
