I've ver. 4.1.059782 and the same thing happens by me. Every post header is named "Post" :-/

Same here. No page title, always shows "Post" instead, and that does not get hiden by changing the theme's "show/not show title in page" .

Using latest version of Artisteer for Windows.

If Theme is changed to any of the WordPress-included ones, Titles are shown correctly o the pages, without any more tweaks.

Oddly, I have no issue at all with the post titles showing as they should. Works just fine. Win 7 / 4.1.0.59782

My above post should read 4.1.0.59861 / WP 3.5.1

2ninerniner2, maybe we have to go into details about which options we are all choosing for export, or whatever else Artissteer tech support wants to ask.
All I know is WP3.5.1 with standard theme shows and hides the PAGE titles when requested to, and when I install my Artisteer them, the word "Post" is shown in place of PAGE title, and it is not affected by on/off switching of title display in theme characteristics box.
I am not inexperienced, so I will edit the page template so I can get this to my client, but something is amiss with the Artisteer template.

Julian -

I just tried it now again. Fired up 4.1.0.59861, new project, export as WP, didn't touch anything else.

Installed the theme in a fresh WP 3.5.1 installation, activated, created new posts and new pages without selecting any option, just enter a title, a couple words in the body and publish. All show what I enter for title.

The problem is with PAGES, not with ENTRIES.
Using WordPress as a CMS for a client, so options in menu are PAGES inside WP.
Title of the PAGE (not entry) shows correctly with twenty-xx theme, goes wrong with Artisteer theme.
Follows capture. That is a PAGE, not a blog post, and has the same title as its selected menu button. Instead it shows "Post"...

Yes, I understand PAGES and that is what I said ... When I create a PAGE, give it a TITLE and publish it, assign it to the menu, the menu item shows the PAGE TITLE that I gave it and the PAGE shows the PAGE TITLE that I gave it ... NO POST IN SIGHT! :-)

Don't know what's going on with yours (or the others in this thread). The only thing I can think of, now seeing your screenshot, is that it has something to do with the language being other than what I have in mine, which is English.

The bloke up top seems to have an english site. Mine is spanish, but as I activate a standard WP theme, I can see the TITLES ok:

You could send me your ARTX file to my username at gmail and I can take a quick look :-)

Hi, Julian,

I just wondered if the theme is an upgrade of an earlier version of the same name.

If I upgrade a theme on Wordpress and use the same name my server sometimes still shows functions from the earlier versioned theme.

I always give each variant a new name to avoid those problems, and have no cache in browser.
Gave it another go with a new clean install of WP and template, same results. Chose a generic template from the ready made ones, same result.
Going back to Artisteer v351 to solve this for my client, might return later to spend some time finding out why this happens with Art v4.
Just realised, same thing happens to blog entries. TITLE gets replaced by the word "Post"

I have exactly the same issue. The are no blog posts, only pages and my page headers say PIST.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciared.

My apologies. The spelling typo error was not intended, I meant "Post"

I am inclined to think that the problem started when I upgraded to WordPress (Version 3.5.1)

Thanks

Finally I got the answer from Nick, thanks.

Go to wp-admin => Appearance => Editor and open wrappers.php file, find this line:

<article<?php echo $id; ?> class="art-post art-article <?php echo $class; ?>">
<h2 class="art-postheader">Post
</h2>

------------------------

change the word Post with this:

<?php echo $title; ?>

----------------------------

So you would have:

<article<?php echo $id; ?> class="art-post art-article <?php echo $class; ?>">
<h2 class="art-postheader"><?php echo $title; ?>
</h2>

Thank You Sauce and Nick ;-)

I could hug you both ... I have been laboring with this for a week and could find no fix.
I thought I was doing something wrong.

Apparently there is a bug in Artisteer than needs to be fixed.
I could see the problem in wrappers.php but did not know how to fix it.

I DID NOT have this problem before I upgraded to the latest version a couple of weeks ago.

I finished another site right before that without a problem.

Anyway thanks everyone :-{}

I just now am creating a WP site using an Artisteer-created theme--and am running into this problem. I'm so very glad and grateful that someone figured it out by the time I got here. Thanks to Sauce and Nick, and also to everyone else who raised the issue. I really appreciate the help this forum provides.
