Check what processes are running at the same time - use task manager.

I had a similar problem with a high spec laptop.

I was using background photos, photo slides etc and it as seriously crawling but i looked at the images i was using and they were all very hi rez so i put em into photoshop and reduced their dimensions to what i needed and no more/less eg. 250x900 pixels rather than 1500x3000 pixels, and now i have no problem at all. Its as fast as a fresh document. :-D

I'll tell you it's heavy on the internet connection. I opened the program when my internet connection was down one day and I almost thought the program wasn't going to work. I disparately wants to connect to check the license every time. I don't know if it cleared up because my internet connection came back but man that was wierd. I am running a i7 2600K 3.40 GHz and 16GB DDR3 and decent video card. So the computer was NOT the problem.

I am sorry to say but I agree with "Blackice" but this program would be a dream IF it was faster. I work daily with websites and I feel this is going the wrong way since these problems have been around for too long now. Still like the program but dont like the speed! Oh i forgott - my machine is a few steps above mensioned here... and still slow when using Artisteer but nothing else:)

Quote blackice504:

I just love the line it must be your machine bla bla bla.

Say that about my machine, here is the specs.

Intel i7 4820K 3.7Ghz

Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz 32GB 9 9 9 24 "QUAD CHANNEL"

Asrock X79 Extreme6

(Raid 0) 2 x Kingston SV300S3 SSD on C600/X79 "SATA3"

Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

with Artisteer 4.1.x

problems changing anything takes time sometimes it will sit there for 20mins doing nothing "checked CPU Resources and CPU @ 2% with a Max of 8%"

the program is very buggy as it will often crash "have looked at your forums for solutions and fixed most of them but still unstable".

end result the program is unusable and that is really sad for a program that cost a fair chunk of money, especially for people that are just making a one off site, or for people who want a professional site for personal use or a non profit org.

I agree with Michael. It would be a dream but it is sooooo slowwwww that it takes forever to finish one page. I've used it since 2012 and it was bad way back then. You think they could come up with something to speed how to processes information.
