Mobile version of site having issues |

I installed a blog design today and was working on the little details when I went to the mobile view. I chose the custom option so that the mobile site would have the same style that the desktop version does. However when I check it on the preview option and on several smart phones, the pages/menu gadget is up in the header image, not below it. And it doesn't look very professional. Is anyone else having this issue and how do I go about fixing it?
