HI,

I have the following problem. I have enabled the E-Mail cloaking Feature in my Joomla 2.5 Installation. When I open the Site with Firefox (JS disabled) It shows me the mailto linked address above the header.
The header normally is direct on top (0px margin).

Is this a template problem?

I'm using Artisteer-Beta Version 4.1.0.59688

regards
Roman

Hi,

I tried out now on another site I had designed with Artisteer 4.0 also on Joomla 2.5.
There's no Problem with E-Mail-Cloaking.
Maybe one of the suport-team can help?

... same here - since i saved my Artisteer 4.0 template with Artisteer 4.1 Beta, Joomla does not display e-mail adresses anymore. Instead, it tells me to switch on JavaScript, and the adresses show up on top of the page...
(JS is enabled!)

I am also having the issue with JS for email. I then went back to my template and pulled out the JS but did not remove the email above the header. I them edited the article and just added in the mailto, but it still did not remove it. I also cleared IE cache.

I just added {emailcloak=off} into the HTML of the joomla article and it cleared up the issue. This should be submitted as a but to auto resolve this

That's not a satisfying solution... You should still want to have your e-mail addresses protected from spam bots, right?

The problem occours only at articles which are not opened directly. They are loaded up like in case of "main articles" on home page.

So far I have just replaced @ with (at) and left the emailcloak plugin on - so it protects other addresses on web.

I hope Artisteer knows about this issue and will solve it soon.

Cheers,

Martin

Yes, this is a very familiar situation. I've always wondered why this is happening. Can this be a problem that can be solved by changing the email provider?

Are temporary solutions to email problems annoying? Make one and the right choice - https://newoldstamp.com/solutions/email-signature-for-students/ , as many have done before you. Improve the effectiveness of your mailings, make them more convenient and easier. Leave only the most important and valuable things.
