Joomla just released 3.0 Beta. The final version 3.0 will be available September 27th.
When will Artisteer release an update version that will allow users to make Joomla templates that are compatible with Joomla 3.0?
And please sort out the Favicon issue in the new update.

Are you sure that the final version of Joomla 3.0 is suitable for general users, I thought that the advise was to wait for Joomla 3.5, which is scheduled for release in Sept 2013.

Hello,

We keep up to date with all Joomla updates and Joomla 3.0 will be supported as soon as it is officially released.

If you wish, you can already test the latest Artisteer 4.0 Beta with Joomla 3.0 Beta, it should work fine.

Best regards,

Are you saying that Artisteer 4.0 BETA will work with Joomla 3.0 BETA with Twitter Bootstrap,, and will this be stable?

I will confirm that artisteer 4 beta2 installs in joomla 3 alpha2!!
That said, I have not tested any further to confirm that it is stable.

I have this on a local server

I will also confirm that artisteer 3.x will install on joomla 3 alpha2 but will not run the template. errors errors

I have not tried to fix the problems with the errors. ( this is not a priority at this time.)

Using Artisteer 4 beta 1 on Joomla 3.0 beta 1, the templates seem to install without error.

But, when viewing the site some errors do come up that will need to be rectified before you can use these on Joomla 3.0.

The errors that I am getting include:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/jmuehlei/public_html/demo3/templates/jtest1DSfunctions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/jmuehlei/public_html/demo3/templates/jtest1/html/com_content/article/default.php on line 4

Note that the "DS" (Directory Separator) is not being parsed out properly.

If this code is manually edited to fix the "DS" issue, then the following error comes up

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JRegistry::getValue() in /home/jmuehlei/public_html/demo3/templates/jtest1/functions.php on line 467

JRegistry:getValue() has been dropped in Joomla 3.0. The 3.0 docs say:
JRegistry::getValue() has been removed. Use JRegistry::get() instead.

So, there do seem to be several issues that will need to be resolved in Artisteer 4 (Beta 1) before it can be used in Joomla 3.0.

And, as it is Artisteer's practice to issue an update once 3.0 is officially released, we'll just have to be patient for a while.

In testing Artisteer 4 RC 1, it seems that the issues I posted about above have been resolved (testing on Joomla 3.0 beta 1).

When will Artisteer 4 (stable) for Mac OS X be avaible - can you create Joomla 3 templates with Artisteer 4? And how do you make Joomla 3 iOS Templates?

I have uploaded an Artisteer 4.0 template to Joomla 3.0 and had troubles with the positions in the template. So far it just stripped out the menu bar, login module, etc. etc. Its a very vanilla homepage at the moment with just my header and an article and didn't keep my links at the bottom footer but kept copyright info and a link to our homepage. How can I edit this template for Joomla 3.0 and have the template work without it stripping out my menus, etc.? Do I need to export it with different positions? I am pretty sure I tried exporting the template with both types of positions but neither seemed to work well or translate to the new site. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also have just updated to Joomla 3.0.2 a site using a Artisteer 4.0 template. The back end is all there but allyou can see in the front end is the header. I've tried exporting with different positions - No good !

When I try to 'import content from template' (Template manager/edit styles/options/content) I get a 'Request failed 404'

Suggestions please

Just found the solution to this issue with Joomla 3.0.2 and Artisteer 4:
Change line 6 in blog_item.php from

JHtml::core()

to

JHtmlBehavior::framework()

When I did that, the template worked fine.
Joomla notes are on this URL:

Hi

I have uploaded my template to Joomla but it's just loading the home menu and my logo with the following below:

Home
Getting Started
It's easy to get started creating your website. Knowing some of the basics will help.

What is a Content Management System?
A content management system is software that allows you to create and manage webpages easily by separating the creation of your content from the mechanics required to present it on the web.

In this site, the content is stored in a database. The look and feel are created by a template. The Joomla! software brings together the template and the content to create web pages.

Site and Administrator
Your site actually has two separate sites. The site (also called the front end) is what visitors to your site will see. The administrator (also called the back end) is only used by people managing your site. You can access the administrator by clicking the "Site Administrator" link on the "User Menu" menu (visible once you login) or by adding /administrator to the end of your domain name.

Log in to the administrator using the username and password created during the installation of Joomla.

Logging in
To login to the front end of your site use the login form. Use the user name and password that were created as part of the installation process. Once logged-in you will be able to create and edit articles.

In managing your site, you will be able to create content that only logged-in users are able to see.

Creating an article
Once you are logged-in, a new menu will be visible. To create a new article, click on the "Submit Article" link on that menu.

The new article interface gives you a lot of options, but all you need to do is add a title and put something in the content area. To make it easy to find, set the state to published.

You can edit an existing article by clicking on the edit icon (this only displays to users who have the right to edit).
Template and modules
The look and feel of your site is controlled by a template. You can change the site name, background colour, highlights colour and more by editing the template options. In the administrator go to the Template Styles and click on My Default Template (Protostar). Most changes will be made on the Options tab.

The boxes around the main content of the site are called modules. You can change the image at the top of the page by editing the Image Module module in the Module Manager.

Learn more
There is much more to learn about how to use Joomla! to create the web site you envision. You can learn much more at the Joomla! documentation site and on the Joomla! forums.

What does this mean? Do I need to register for Joomla and Pay? Am I doing something wrong? I have Artisteer 4.0 Standard Edition and have Joomla 3.0. It's weird it's only picking up a small piece of my template.

Any help would be great!

Currently Artisteer doesn't support Joomla 3, try using Joomla 2.5 instead.

Obs.: estou usando o XAMPP.

I've just found an issue where a template for Joomla 3.0 that I created with Artisteer 4.1 beta inserted an email address in the header position on some articles. I previously was using a template from Artisteer 4 that was exported for a Joomla 2.5 installation which doesn't experience the issue. Thankfully I could just roll it back since this was a production environment.

Has anyone seen this behavior and know of a possible fix?

The login module is not looking correct. Buttons, choicebox, and textbox is not the way it's suppose to be formated.
The first picture is the way I made it in artisteer, second one is on my web site.

1- Try disabling the responsive design from Export Options.

2- Artisteer 4.0 version export HTML5/CSS3 templates and some old IE browsers doesn't support this new format. Artisteer have implemented graceful degradation for that browsers, it means every element will appear but the display may be different.
