Ok guys, I am a big fan of artisteer 4 and his customized layout new feature (Better approach than Adobe muse :-) )

but the Version 4 have a big bug in the export of customized page content with layout style ;
The background image and colors and style of the cells in the layout of the customized page doesn't appear in wordpress.

The current solution I found is to make an HTML version of my theme and add manualy the customized style of the html page theme in the file style.css of wordpres.
And replace some names like ".art-content .art-postcontent" by ".art-layout-cell"

I also have to add manualy the missing background image file in the wordpress theme folder .

I think that it's a serious bug for wordpress users , so thanks to make it work correctly in next artisteer 4 releas please :-P

When you use a sample in Artisteer 4 it will import all the styles and content into WordPress. But it’s not quite perfect yet. Some of Artisteer 4 sample themes (IT Sample Theme for example) uses <style></style> in the head section of the page (not in style.css). The problem is two-fold. First, Artisteer 4 beta does not use the <div> properly. It left out art-postcontent-0 when it imported the pages. And the other problem is on some of the images that are imported are sent to a separate directory other than what is referred to in the style section of the head.

Hi,
I have created a theme with Artisteer 4, I have export it and installed it in wordpress, however, I don't see the layout created with the content I added in Artisteer 4.

How do I add the information to the divs?

Thanks
Best Regards

I was having a lot of issues with this as well, my backgrounds were missing, things went haywire, and even had an issue with images with invalid embedding paths....support emailed me a while ago and told me the bug has been reported and will be addressed in the next update.

Gotta keep our chins up, a real final version will be here sooner or later.

I did several thems for my favourite CMS Wordpress, current version 3.4.2

After uploading theme I had an option as shown in screenshot previously.

Works like a magic.!

In reality you can create your Wordpress website even without touching Wordpress admin panel.

Lovely.

The authors of Artisteer program should get Nobel award for geniosity. No jokes.

I've beta tested most of my themes of smartphones and they look as good as they're going to look. I have yet to see one site that translates perfectly into every browser and platform.I think the thing to do is keep the artx file and test out a theme on each browser (at least IE, FireFox, Chrome, and that other one) and the iphone, blackberries, etc. Usually it's an issue of changing menus.

Hi. I have same problem: Customized layout, added some columns for widgets to be added later in WP, uploaded theme, but these new columns not showing up at ll.
The solution provided above - Export content ticked and later in WP Add Content chosen- is good only when one start the wordpress and not any content yet.
But if I want update my theme for excisiting blog and choosing to do this then it overwrites current postings and set up in main contents which causing a lot re-do work. I did it once accidently :(

Is there any other way to upload a updated tempalte to WP by adding some new layout columns without losing a published content by overwrited exported Artister content???

I'm using Artister 4.1 and decided not to update it as too expensive for 2 hobby site when I update tempates 1 x per year.
Please, if the uploading customised layout nto possiible to update to WP without importing content is not possible in this version, let me know so I can save my time no more updating my theme :)
