To add actual Headline and slogan content to your website log in to Joomla Administration, select Template Manager > Template name (Styles tab) > Basic Options > Headline and Slogan fields on Right and fill in the content.

I have the same problem, however I can't even find Basic Options under Extensions->Template Manager->Styles in Joomla 2.5

In 2.5.4 Administration I have gone to Extensions>Template Manager>Styles

From there I have 2 options... click on MyTemplate - Default in the Style list or MyTemplate in the Template list.

Neither of these give me Basic Options...

@ Patrick

I'll suggest you to contact Artisteer support with your exported template: http://www.artisteer.com/?p=support

I hope you have resolved this.

I had the same problem, asked the same question. It is there.

@ Cougarina

Artisteer made it flexible so that users can change the title/slogan dynamically from Joomla admin.

Also happened to me that the title text instance disappears if you have a joomla template export. In Artisteer is he d eoutput but he nowhere to be found.
This was also the case in previous versions though seems therefore a structural problem of artistic tar. I currently use version 4.00.58475 Request a solution ;-)

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with Artisteer 4 templates and Joomla 2.5. As I read in some other messages here I know that many people have a similar problem, but I didn't really understand how to solve it in my case.

So...I am creating a 2.5-3.0 version of a Joomla template with position-1, position-2. No problem there... Then I install it in Joomla and again no problem. But when I go to my website after Defaulting the the template it is only stuck on Home and does not show the rest of the Menu. I cant select 'something else...it is just fixed on that position...

Could someone please tell me..step by step... how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,
G..

Hi I am also having the same problems with finding the Header and Slogan edit in Basic Options in the Joomla 3.1.1 Template Manager on installation of my new template. In fact this Basic Options doesn't even exist

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue please.

hi have found something:

these is an part if index.php of the generated artisteer-template:

<h1 class="art-headline" data-left="63.39%">
<a href="<?php echo $document->baseurl; ?>/"><?php echo $this->params->get('sitetitle'); ?></a>
</h1>
<h2 class="art-slogan" data-left="24.74%"><?php echo $this->params->get('siteSlogan'); ?></h2>

sitetitle is not correct -> siteTitle is correct !

and:

the mysql-db of joomla 3.1.1 contains a table "qt05x_template_styles"
there are the template-options stored. the params of the generated artisteer-template are zero .... we need a string like these:
{"siteTitle":"Title","sitedescription":"desc"}

i have changed these manualy ... now i can see the Title and the slogan .... fine :-)

In Joomla 3.x go to Extensions - Template Manager - then select your template and when the next window opens select the 'options' tab. Insert your headline and slogan. THEN click the 'Menus Assignment' tab and select all the pages you want the name and slogan to appear on. Then SAVE. Hey presto - your name and slogan will appear as designed.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem: no title and slogan in header! Uploaded to Joomla! 2.5.11. I paid $129.95 for the 4.1 version. When I worked with version 2 two years back and uploaded to Joomla! 1.5, title and slogan header appeared without any problem.
Why pay so much for the standard version if we have to go and change lots of things on the website thereafter?

This works in all Joomla 3.x versions and Art 4.1. As others have said you need to add them in the Joomla template manager Styles >> Your Template >> Options tab.

Don't forget you have to add them in Artisteer or there won't be the option in Joomla. It doesn't matter what text you use just so long as it has one.

It does not work for me either, there is no such option after choosing Your Template>Options in admin panel. Any solutions?

sorry fr post under post, but I think I found the problem: everything works fine and the right options appear when you export the template from Atisteer without the content. When exported with content, it does not show the options tab in joomla administration panel.

I have no ideas. This forum is just loaded with problems from exporting content. If that's what you did and now aren't that could be the problem.

Again, you are adding it in Artisteer correct?

I can only assume it's from the content export. Just contact support and they will tell you. You send them your project and they will test it.

I didn't went through the artisteer documentation thoroughly, now I was able to add the headline through the template settings. Thank you for posting the solution to this. More power to Artisteer! :-)

Well, this is not helpful. I am searching the Artisteer Menus for hours without finding the point. :-(

I have Artesteer 4.3.0.6.745 and joomla 2.5.9. First you make the layout of headline and Slogan in the template. Then you export the template to Joomla and set it as default. Probably you will not see those items appear. Then you go to Joomla and select Extension-templatemanagment and then click on the name of your template.
On the right side of your page you see "basis options" and there you can fill in your headline and Slogan again. In the website, your Headline and Slogan will appear but in the layout you made in your template. I think this option is set to make it possible to change titles after the template is made. If not, you have to change your template every time. it worked for me .

... as stated before, it is important that you insert headline and Slogan in the template. When you insert only Headline and no Slogan, you are not able to fill in the slogan on basic option. Only headline option will show up.
