I would like to see HTML5 and CSS3 responsive design functions added.

Agreed.

I have come to the decision that the web community has made a quantum leap from static to Responsive Design principles in the last 12 months.

In the very near future, designing Non-Responsive sites will be the equivalent of designing sites using tables.... enough to get you crossed off cocktail party invitation lists ;-)

FOR THAT REASON, if Artisteer doesn't start to offer more for users who want to build responsive sites, I will probably not renew my subscription next year.

I completely agree. If you cannot give your customers responsive web design you will lose business. My firm is buying templates now.

I have never done this before, but I agree with every single post in this page, except the first one who wants HTML5 and CSS3. Not all browsers are ready for them yet. We have to be patient on that one, and let the big boys settle things down.

In the meantime, I got a membership at elegantthemes.com. They offer a handful of responsive designs, and are converting their older templates to responsive all the time. Check out their blog page. Their price is right too, and you have unlimited use of their templates, well worth the $39 (75+ templates too date, and one mobile plugin).

In the end, for better control, I would love to create my own responsive designs with Artisteer, out the box!

Hi Troy

Hope you get to share more of what you are doing and how!
Is Craft Mommy a Joomla, Drupal...or Web template?
Did you insert your @Media queries into Artisteer and upload, or into the pages after upload?
Is the Search function part of @Media queries?

I have been experimenting integrating Web Tools into Artisteer for responsive design with some success.

It's very possible for Artisteer to develop a responsive version of their software.

@robear

This is a Web Template. I created the content management system using PHP because I didn't want things to be confusing to my clients.

So, my method wouldn't be for everyone. However, I was demonstrating that Artisteer can come up with responsive designs fairly easily. They have all the tools.

Good luck with your prospects.

Hey folks,

Take a look at my company’s new responsive design website www.dronamobile.com, you would be able to push and pull the browser window to test the "responsiveness" of this website. When I reduce the width of the browser, everything just flows "under" the browser frame and is cut off, just like the web content. Do explore and share your feedback about it...

Hi Troy,

Your site looks awesome.
I am also experimenting with responsive design and am trying to get my accordion menu to work like yours except every page i go to, the menu is automatically expanded to the page I'm on, whereas i want it to be collapsed on page load like your is.

How did you achieve this?

:-(
