Whenever I try running Artisteer, it gives me the following error:

Unable to load the webkit engine. Please reinstall Artisteer to fix this problem.

I reinstalled and it didn't solve the problem. I just recently reinstalled windows on my computer and made sure everything was updated.

Any suggestions?

Just wondering why there has not been any response from support on the problem with the issue. What do we do? I can not use the program as I'm getting the error.

I had the same problem (using Windows 7 professional) and I fixed it by installing:
- Microsoft SDK visual studio
- Apple Safari for windows
I rebooted, and Artisteer worked fine.
Hope it helps.

I installed Safari, but according to the installation for Microsoft SDK visual studio , you must first have Visual Studio in order to install it, which costs money. At least the copies I found on Microsoft.com do. Does anyone have a link for Microsoft SDK visual studio that doesn't require that?

Do we *really* have to purchase more software just to get Artisteer to run? I bought this to make my life *easier* when designing themes, not spend all my free time trying to figure out why it doesn't work.......

I think just VS 2010 is needed. :-P

8-)
Im from Indonesia..
I used win7 sp1.
Yesterday,I install artiseer..but error when complete instalation..
Now,,I found the answer, and I have success..(does not require Microsoft Net,or SDK,or VS 2010)..because the problem is "memory dump".
>>tools that should be required:
1.Revo unistaler(optional)
2.Tune up PC or other like cc cleaner
>>How to used?
1.uninstall artiseer
2.clean registry with cccleaner or other..
3.(important).. Run disk cleaner== "go to xplorer>drive C>Right click>properties>disk cleaner.."
*>check all disk cleaner option.
Restart.. Install again.. Guaranted!! for success fully install artisteer.
:-) :-)

I'm sure they are working on it feverishly. Mine totally won't save a project or export one without locking up.

I wonder if you are supposed to uninstall version 3 before installing it.

I'm not willing to risk that.

Hi John, I'm having exactly the same problem as you (nice to know I'm not alone!) and I've reported it to Artisteer. Their engineers are looking at the issue now. Lins
