I'm having the same issues. I can't get my template to load to blogger. Keep getting error messages, and, like pdoss said, the automatic publisher isn't working at all. Really want this to start working again. Sent a request to support, really want to load my template.

I am having the same problem. I just spent 49.95 and it doesn't work at all! I thought my upgrades had expired so I repurchased. I guess it doesn't work anymore. I want the easy old way back!!

Same problem here, I can't find a way to upload the new template from within the new Blogger, and the "publish" button in Artisteer doesn't seem to work.

Perhaps, can someone please give "manual" instructions to me that clearly explain how this is done?

Thanks

Hi

I had the same problem when template published to Blogger, header was tiny, rest of template was all over the place and broken.

I emailed Artisteer about it. Here is their reply.

Response Hi Sarah,

As we found out the issue with Blogger themes happens because Picasa changed something in its settings.
The solution to this is to change Picasa hosting to Imageshack or FTP image hosting (File - Export - Export options -> Image hosting).
If you don't want to use Imageshack as your image hosing, there is also a method of editing files manually to fix the issue with images.

Please go to Design -> Edit HTML and change all links to your images.
You can search(Ctrl + F) for ".jpg", ".png" and ".gif" and your link will look like this:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_H4CESsnuXvU/TOPKgiWfwsI/AAAAAAAA5Ok/JC7OqDSqjX8/header.jpg

You need to add "s1600/" before the image name:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_H4CESsnuXvU/TOPKgiWfwsI/AAAAAAAA5Ok/JC7OqDSqjX8/s1600/header.jpg

If a link already has "s320/" or "s800/" before its image name please do not edit it.

I have used the image shack route which has so far solved the problem.

Hope this helps.

Have a great New Year all

Sarah ;-)

This issue seems to be resolved bc I looked into mine and all the links were correct and working. I did have an issue with my header being shrunk to 800 and it should have been 1000 but I uploaded it to photobucket and changed that link bc I have pro which supports larger files and I think that was my issue.

All in all can anyone explain what the sequence is from exporting from Artisteer 3.0 to Blogger is?

I get changing the image location. But what about the other files in the zipped folder, how does Blogger recognize those files.

Thanks to anyone for your reply.

OK - CAN WE GET AN ANSWER???? How about a video tutorial, because nothing seems to be working for me...its been MONTHS now, and it still doesn't upload properly. Imageshack does not work,

Every time I follow the steps, I get this error on blogger "Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly. XML error message: The element type "b:widget" must be terminated by the matching end-tag ""."

Now, if I create a new document in Artisteer 3.1 and try to publish it, instead of it directly publshing to my blog (the old-fashioned way), I get a pop-up that directs you to copy and paste the code directly into the "edit template" field in blogger...this results in errors saying the code isn't valid...this is NOT the way I wan't to publish anyway!!! I WANT THE OLD WAY BACK!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I was getting errors that had to do with Picasa - I kept getting this error message telling me to log into Picasa (WHICH I WAS ALREADY LOGGED IN) I sent numerous help messages to Artisteer support and got no answers...they didn't even recognize where the Picasa error message was coming from.

The reason why I liked Artisteer was because the ease of publishing to blogger - now that has been taken away. Obvioulsy, since blogger updated their templates, Artisteer needs to catch up...I just wish Artisteer would acknowledge this and offer better solutions.

Part of what I offer to my clients is custom blog backgrounds - now I can't use Artisteer to create them anymore and my productivity will suffer from this. I'm more than a bit peeved to say the least!!!

Someone needs to get on it, or give me a refund!!!

I am having the same F***k**g problem, I guess its because blogger is changing, whats the fix.

Blogger/Google has two versions of its admin interface: the "classic" and the "current" in HTML5/CSS3. Trying to copy/paste or upload your XML in the updated CSS3 version does NOT work. Don't know what the exact issue is, but it just can't seem to handle the volume of code to be pasted. If you revert back to the "classic" interface, you can upload or copy/paste to your heart's content and it works beautifully. Don't forget to dump Picasa for your images hosting, if your blog template relies heavily on images, rather than HTML/CSS, including CSS3. ImageShack is much better.

Good luck, and don't beat yourself up (or Artisteer!) It's Google's machinations that are making it difficult for designers to update customized blog templates.

O:)

I also find this no longer works for Blogger, I have paid for this product and it used to have my blogger details in it, However now there all gone and I can't even put those details back in All I do get is the publishing thing which tells me to verify my log in creditials which There is no option to even do that with artisteer...

Please fix!

Yup! That's the message I'm getting, too! (Thought it was just me - I have the professional version of Artisteer so I paid much more than $49.95.)

I was getting error messages when trying to upload with the new interface. As suggested, I reverted to the old interface and it worked fine.

I am using the classic interface, and uploads work ok as long as i don't customize the out of the box templates from Artisteer. soon as i start tweaking things, then it breaks, and i get the dreaded error msg. trying to narrow down which tweak breaks things, and it may be when I try to build a template with no menu bar.

For what it's worth, I just re-upped my subscription so I could get the latest 3.1 (my year of updates ran out in September, but I'm upgrading my Joomla-based website) and I'd been having problems with my Blogger template as well (no surprise, right?).

Well I exported the template to Blogger with some trepidation, but everything worked perfectly. After uploading (using "Picasa" for the images) it opened a dialog asking me to cut and paste the XML into the Blogger editor, and then proceeded to open the correct version (it's now the classic version, what used to be the "new" version of Blogger before the latest overhaul). I pasted the new info over the old, and voila, images looked the way they should, everything worked, I even get Google +1 buttons now without having to hack them in myself.

I didn't do anything special, and I doubt this is comfort to those of you still having problems, but I wanted to say that it IS working in at least some cases.

Well guys, i have been trying to export a theme, but as most of the people encountering same problem, it was not being exported directly to blogger , instead artisteer told me to copy and paste code manually in blogger which was simply unacceptable again in blogger, :-P
so i exported the whole theme into my computer , there was main.xml file along with style.css file and image folder. i then uploaded whole image folder to my photobucket account with original names and extensions, later in blogger templates , i uploaded the template which was successfully done . then i found .jpg .png and all image files one by one in <edit html>.code and replaced the link with direct code link of every respctive file on photobucket, finally it was done successfully but i was really pissed off after uploading like 25 file manually :-D

Still very frustrated...I created a theme, tried installing it using their automatic installer, popped up a page that said I had to copy and paste in the code. I tried that and got this message " Error parsing XML, line 2672, column 7: The element type "b:widget" must be terminated by the matching end-tag ""." I opened the code in Dreamweaver, found line 2672 and it had NOTHING to do with b:widget, but line 2672 is if ({showHomePage}) {

Thoroughly confused because I see nothing wrong with this code, but if I try to alter it, I get another error further down.

I tried everyone's solution of switching to imageshack and I still get errors...I paid for the more expensive software and this is NOT what I expected!

I haven't seen anymore updates so did everyone eventually give up??? (last message I see is May 2012)
