Images overriding region paddings |

I've noticed that some content types seem to override or disregard the paddings set in Artisteer for specific regions. For example if I have a 20px padding setup on the side bar and put an image block in the sidebar, the image runs over what I think should be the available area.
Has anyone else seen this and if so any suggestions on how to force content to display only within the active region area?
