Is there a way to add a custom text block over the header? I want additional text, besides a site title or a site slogan.

In Joomla, one way of achieving this is by using a custom html module. Have the module in position banner1, have your text in the module inside a div looking like this for example:
<div style="position: absolute; left: 100px; top: 100px;">
My Text
</div>

I have the same question, except for Drupal. There doesn't seem to be any way of inserting a block in the header. Is there a way to do this in Artisteer?

@ jona
You need to create a new region in header for it.

Really need to be able to do this, in WordPress. A thread elsewhere in the forums sort of works, but is complicated and buggy. Really surprised Artisteer just doesn't offer this by default.

There's an add on - not sold by Artisteer - called The Templateer. It will add a widget area to exported WordPress templates. Also adds a whole bunch of other worthwhile features. I've bought it and used it and like it.
