I downloaded the IT Solutions free web template for joomla. When I added it to my joomla site it looks nothing like it does on here. All the images go away and its nowhere near as nice. Any ideas on what is wrong? please help im lost here.

Create an article in joomla. Name it anything you want like Welcome.
Then paste this:

Then grab all the images and up load to your joomla server.
Then update(add topage) images to page.

Just save and upload as html. Site is very quick to update you can have all the looks of a great site without having to spend ages trying to learn a CMS. The big bonus is because your site is faster loading your search rank will be better plus you can play around with design, articles, pages etc.
