I have the same type of problems with HTML templates.
First, when I download the templates, they come with a ZIP extension instead of an ARTX one. I then rename the templates in ARTX and load them in Artisteer. But its like if they were done for Wordpress (the menu bars are about Wordpress). If I change the template to HTML, then Artisteer crashes.

Don't download the html templates, download the Artisteer (artx) templates. It includes the html template (just select File - Change Templates - Website/Blog)

Please, i´d try to execute the version 2.5 with license but the program don´t respond.
the supoort team don´t suplier a solution.
