Constant Errors and Crashing

So... I really like the concept of this software... Only problem is that it seems extremely buggy. I am using the trial version of Artisteer... The program always seems to move slower and slower the longer I use it. After awhile it becomes so slow it's unusable and then crashes.

This is the test of the latest error I received:

hi Steve,
as I wrote you in a previous message (on the other forum thread) try contacting support. they will ask you to create a log file for them to investigate the issue.

Bob, i have a better idea. Stop to be a robot please. Every of your post are 'contact support'

Are you paid with post answering ?

If support CAN READ MAIL, they CAN READ FORUMS ! If not, please show me where it's noticed "Artisteer support team is too busy answering mail so forums are only from customers to customers."

I sent same errors in a mail, no answer.

What good is a product support forum if all people say is contact support with that question?

I did open a ticket, but decided to post here anyway so that someone else with the same issue might also be able to weigh in.

So far the reply from support was to use the version 3.1.0.42580 and let them know if I still have the issue.

Well, as it turns out, I am already using version 3.1.0.42580.

Ticket is still open...

On my side, no answer from support.

I think they really don't know why their product generate a memory error

For now, i will not buy this product so it's not about money lost , it's about lack of support (i 'm sure real customers have the same support) ...

Still waiting for support to respond...

My decision to purchase this software depends on the resolution of this not uncommon issue.

:(

Christophe, I told it just in case if the user needs real answer (I mean if it's not that case, when it's not necessary to resolve issue and we can share our ideas how to do smth better and so on) then he can contact support. he will get the answer there anyway..
but okay, I don't mind if you discuss it here..

but then, let's stop flooding here and be more patient:) and let's back to the tread issue..

Bob,

Are the forums not intended to be a place to discuss Artisteer?

Issues with any software are best resolved in an open forum where users may contribute to possible resolution or with their own experiences.

Having a private conversation with support just seems to defeat the purpose of a support forum.

The issues and steps taken to resolve them should be posted for all to see.

My issue is not unique and I have yet to see anything posted anywhere on these forums on how to correct it.

The most common posts I see are "Please contact support" and "Still waiting to hear from support".

I just heard back from support...

They said in a few days a new beta version will be released that should work better with memory. Try it and let them know if the issue persists.

If it works I buy it!

Hi,

You may create a new support ticket with the number of your non responded one. Also you need to understand that some issues are complex and may take more time for investigation.
And BTW did you try the latest 3.1 beta update from a news page?

Hello Hella

>> And BTW did you try the latest 3.1 beta update from a news page?

Just read my last post, i said "Then i installed the new 3.1 beta 2 "

Let me just explain what is my problem

2 differents computers (2 laptops) with SAME PROBLEM

1 is a HP 3190SF - 4go Ram - Ati HD5650 - Windows 7 Family Premium
1 is an Asus Eeepc 1000 with 2 Go of Ram and Intel gfx Card - Windows XP

If it take v 3.0, 3.1 beta 1 or beta 2 same problem

I uninstall previous version
I install Artisteer
I run the program
I try to export the template (without any modifications !)

Wordpress export => CASH (memory error with long long error message)
Other exports => Everything is ok

I created 5 support tickets, no answer from ANY of them :-( (in every of them i said to Artisteer support that they could ask me WHAT they want to test)

I sent the whole error message every time, with config, how to reproduce and screen capture.

I can understand that some issues are complex and may take more time for investigation but for now Artisteer never answered me and i don't know how they can investigate without contacting me ...

Support ticket doesn't work
Support email doesn't work
Forums isn't checked by Artisteer team

So i need to wait some months until they found the bug by chance ...

Christophe,

We do respond to all support tickets, but we believe that you are misleading everyone on the forums while illegally using an Artisteer crack that indeed should be crashing your computer.
We're not sure what you are trying to achieve by harming our company if you like our product and want to use it.

If you indeed submitted 5 support tickets to us please provide all 5 numbers of the submitted support tickets.

I have started getting the 'Exception type system 'OutOfMemoryException' was thrown" with Artisteer.4.0.0.59100 after my .artx file became larger. (This roblm is not related to my PC which has sufficient memory and specifications). Any solution please?
