Hello, I am trying to build a site using wordpress and artisteer. I would like to have a theme that has two templates, one for the homepage and another for the internal pages. I would like it to not only change the sidebar size, placement, etc. but I would like for the menu to move below the header as opposed to above (on my homepage) and I would like the background to change, as well as the transparency of the articles. I have tried attaching a different css stylesheet to the new template file I imported as illustrated here, http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-have-a-separate-stylecss-for-each-page-template, and that didnt work, I tried to rename all of the files in the inside theme, change the coding that points to each file within the theme, add the template code to the beginning of pageinside.php and that didnt work either. I feel I must be doing something wrong. You can see the example at www.bacjacmusic.com. If you need the zip files I can send them to you to look at. If artisteer isnt including this in their program there should be a work around. PLease help.

A simple solution is to install the "headspace2" plugin.
Then you can apply a different theme on a page to page basis.

Also I would like to have different themes, in total 5 (only because of coloring)
My question is: what are the disadvantages? Would it slow down my site? Or any other side effect?

I am not aware of any disadvantage of additional page templates.
