We see that you are using a stolen version of Artisteer with an invalid license key that you obviously did not purchase. This is unfair to us and to all customers who purchased Artisteer. And this issue was discussed plenty of times here in the forums.
Please immediately remove software cracks from your computer.
If you want to use any product please purchase it, then you can also contact product support for help.

Additionally, please do not post problems in the "User Tips" forums when you do not have any tips for other users.

I have the problem with saving artisteer project too. I have of course official paid version and problems started some months ago with some 3.xx beta version. From that time I tried a lot, I also collaborated with artisteer suppor by creating logs etc. but the problem are still here.
Finally by using last version I have the problem not every time but sometimes and after PC restart it is possible to save ...

This happened to me also. I downloaded a trial version from the website, install it and try to create a template. When I tried to save, it failed. The error message said

"Unable to save file"

Is it normal? Can't I use the trial version to save a template? FYI, it happens for all templates

O:)

you can change links, content EVERYTHING

you just need to learn html programing an your site is DONE

I have Artisteer 3.1.0.46558 (genuine). Unfortunately, whenever I try to save an .artx file, they say that there is an error and they are unable to save. Please help.

I have the paid version and after several updates all of a sudden had an issue with saving changes to existing templates.
Found out that I needed to "Activate" after each update....then my files saved.
Also found out the updates didn't completely uninstall the previous version. I still had a start menu item that opened the older version.

Major version doesn't uninstall existing old versions, like 4.x doesn't uninstall 3.x

You should contact Artisteer support on the activation issue.

Not to be rude, but don't be so smug. I purchased a license key and am using a fully legal copy and suddenly I'm having the exact same issue, and it was working perfectly earlier today. :-/

First: I'm using a licensed Version of Artisteer.

My project is crashing every time when I try to load it again.

I have no older Versions of Artisteer installed. I bought a new laptop with Windows8 and installed and licensed the program. I have 8gb ddr3 RAM but every time I load my project, it tells me that there is a system.out.of.memory.expection

Sometimes it loads but next time it doesn't ... serveral times there is an error message, that a file could not be loaded, but the Software doesn't tell me which file. I can't send the crash-Report, 'cause the is also an "MAPI-Error"

When extracting the project it also crashes.

When lucky, I opens the project but no save is possible .. I got an error message "error while creating the XML-code" an after that the Software crashes.

I can't go working on ... but i have to finish till eastern. I used the Support, but not sure to get an answere in that short time.

Knows anybode help, how to rescue the file and not to have to restart ...

Sorry for my bad english ...

This error was common for Artisteer 3.1.0.55575.
If you're still using Artisteer 3.1, please switch to this latest update:
http://www.artisteer.com/media/p4/files/Artisteer.3.1.0.56360.exe (Win)
http://www.artisteer.com/media/p4/files/Artisteer.3.1.0.56366.dmg (Mac)

Check out here http://www.artisteer.com/Default.aspx?p=license_info whether it's available for you without any upgrade.

Most probably the issue is caused by the size of your project. If you're using large images in your project, decrease their size before inserting them into the project. It will help.
