If you own Artisteer, you can remove attribution links before exporting the .artx file.

See http://www.artisteer.com/?p=license_agreement

You can make any changes you like, but you cannot sell sample templates. However, you can sell the service to install them on third party sites provided the clients agree to be bound by the same license terms.

How do you get rid of the
<!-- Created by Artisteer v.nnn --> at the very top of every page on my template?

I have removed it from the footer sections by utilizing the Export Options but it is still appearing at the top of every page. Please help as I don't want to have to edit each page every single time before I publish my sites.

The way I done it was by un-checking the "Footnote" option, provided you have a valid copy it'll take it out.

With my site I added a gap between the bottom of the foot and the foot of the site so that I can include my own copyright link where the Artisteer link was.

It was easy enough to do just by adding Padding under the footer :-)

The one thing you can do is to go into Artisteer's program directory and change the page.html file (C:\Program Files\Artisteer 4 (4)\Library\Data\Templates\DefaultView\Files\page.html) If you delete the "created by artisteer" segment it should get rid of it on your exported pages.

Be sure to backup this page so you can restore if something undesirable happens

If you use WordPress you can edit the footer.php under Aappearance > Editor. Just comment out the section you do not need. I commented out (<!-- -->) everything inside the <div> wrapper for safety. I am not sure if this violates the terms of use, however.

I hope this helps!

I was able to get rid of the Powered by WordPress and WordPress Them created with Artisteer by going into the sidebar-footer.php. Found it at the bottom of that file and just deleted it on out.
