I am new to Artisteer and I just bought the standard edition version 3.0.
I am having trouble on how to implement the facebook like button at the footer next to the rss icon. Any help is much appreciated.

I also need help in creating a facebook link in the website I am building in Artisteer 3. Can anyone tell a beginner how to do this? While I know my way around Artisteer reasonably well, I know very little about HTML code. Thanks.

I would like add that I am having a similar problem in that I have put in my facebook plugin and as well as a twitter plugin code, which afterwards crashes the program. After I put the codes in, no matter what I put in, whether it be text, etc., the second i go to save the file, the program crashes and closes. Honestly, this has been extremely frustrating for me, as I cannot literally do anything, unless I remove the plugins completely. I have also sent a support email with this issue, but I haven't received an answer yet. :(

Same situation here. I copy and paste the generated code and it does not generate a 'Like' button and usually crashes the web page in IE. Which should one use; XFBML or HTML5? Using a WordPress template in Artisteer is not an option since it just becomes too unwieldy a process for a novice, but in WordPress I had no trouble creating a 'Like' button.

I think the point is, the OP is making a website, not a wordpress site, so solutions involving wordpress plugins wont work :-)

@ Rob

You should use XHTML and try inserting it manually in desired pages after exporting the template from Artisteer. Firebug and Notepad++ may be very helpful.

If your strugleing to put it in in Artsiteer as i did... then export the website.

Open the site up in a program such as NVQ which is free or the like.. ( I use dreamweaver for this personaly if your not a hand coder ) add the graphic where you want it go .. then crate the link to the facebook page your linking to....

I most cases with a wysiwig aeditor you will be able to highlight the graphic or text then use the link editor with the program your using to link to page...

This solved my problem like i had the same as you...

I find it easyer to create the website in Artisteer and any child pages ect.. and linking them within Artsiteer..I Personaly have found Artisteer produces good navigation menus and such..

I then export the site onto the desk top and in my case open it up within dreamwaever and carry on editing anything i want to add or remove.. check the links and that the site works in all brousers..

I always check with the online validator that the site has no errors..

This might not answer your question about doing within Artisteer but might help you get round the problem on an html website.

You might want to check out Google & YouTube as well on how to add a facebook link to a web site....

<html> <head> <title>Cleaning Nova</title> </head> <body> <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http://www.Your_URL_to_Like" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; width:450px; height:80px"></iframe> </body> </html>

Just insert it as a html.
Good luck :-)

THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION. If I am goung to use dreamweaver or html scripting and coding than I wouldnt use Artisteer!
And I bought Artisteer to have that functionallity - NOT A BUG!

Come on people like serious? HTML coding? What are we talking about here about coding or about The great template creator and software without coding?
