Hi
I downloaded the trial, tweaked a suggested design, exported it into a Joomla folder - now I've purchased the program. How do I open this back up and remove the watermark?
Thanks

You can't. You will have to rebuild the template

Hi Don
Thanks for confirming what I discovered - that just stinks! It's a very cool tool - but that is certainly a drawback.

Hi,
I'm not 100% sure, but have you tried to open "File->Export options->Watermark" and tried to change "Watermark" value to "No"? Maybe after purchasing it, if you go there you can disable the watermarks.
Good luck

Nancy had exported the template since you can not save in the trial mode. Once it is exported you can not get it back into Artisteer to change it.

Nancy, never delete the original file made with Artisteer!!! Even if you export it and think it's 100% finished. Keep a copy, you never know when would you need it again!!

"you can not save in the trial mode" reread the post. She had the trial version.

Ok!!! Sorry!! I didn't remember you cannot save a design with trial version. When I tried Artisteer for the first time one year ago, I think I could save the designs but with watermarks. That's why I was confused . Maybe I forgot it.

They dropped being able to save in the trial version because a few people were offering to take a artx file saved in the trial version and convert it to the CMS of your choice for a small fee. Also some people were telling their clients to download the trial and send them the saved file and then they would upload to the web for for them. All ways around having to buy copies and there fore robbing Artisteer of sales.
