Anyone know how i can change the text on the backward link? as standard, you get 'Designed by *name*' but i want to use it as a copyright, so it would read 'Site by *name* © 2011' (© of course, being the copyright symbol). Any ideas? im guessing this would be code-changing in Dreamweaver etc.....

You could deselect the author link in export options and add your own once published.

e.g. If it's a Wordpress theme, add your own html in the footer using 'theme options' in the Wordpress admin area. I don't use other cms so can't advise.

If you're using Wordpress, log into your site and under the appearance tab click on editor. Once the file pages open up, look on the right side and find footer.php file and click it. Scroll down a little and you should see a line like this:

<p class="art-page-footer">Designed by <a href="http://yourdmain.us">Add your name here</a>.</p>

Your's may look a little different because it's created based on options you choose or don't choose in the css options prior to exporting your theme. Anyway, change the link between the quotation marks and add your own name or company name where I have "Add your name." Then click on save changes.
