Downloaded trial prior to buying as a complete noob tryingt to set up a Joomla 1.6 site. I have pages which work fine with the basic templates installed with Joomla which I can modify.

I exported a trial Artisteer template and installed it, and it looks great on the preview on the site. It shows the article texts and so forth with the right appearnce including the "trial" watermark, but there are no menus at all visible. I have turned on the relevant menus in the template manager. Is there something else very basic which needs to be switched on somewhere or is this because I have Joomla 1.6 not 1.5 ?

SAME problem. I own standard version Artisteer, created template and installed on my Joomla site with 1.6. I have used 1.5 before but GoDaddy (my hosting server) only provides 1.6 now. There is NO HELP content for 1.6 on the installation. I see the body of my template online but I have no menu's (main or vertical) and I cannot see either left or right columns on my 3 column layout. I have the main menu and top menu selected (assigned?) but not sure in 1.6 how I am supposed to get the menu and the columns to function. Help would be appreciated, it looks like I am stuck with 1.6 from now on with GoDaddy. Thanks to anyone who can provide some clues.

Make sure your modules are selected per template.
This may help.

Hi
I was having the same issue. It seems that build 3.0.0.35414 Standard Edition of artisteer 3 is not saving module positions when exported.

Based on this image:

I was able to reassign my menus to the correct positions.
Thanks to jrgweb.net for the excellent video about modules as well. That is what tipped me off.

Thanks for the pointers. I think I understand now - would it be fair to say that what I was seeing initially (no menus showing) was because some position names in the original Joomla template were different to those in the Artisteer one, but others were the same?
