This is something I just discovered from a friend and thought I would share it here.
It has long been my complaint that when I pass a template in the design suggestions that I can not go back and get it.
A friend of mine showed me that Ctrl + z takes you back through the selections! Such a simple little thing but I LOVE it! No more wishing I could get back to that design I passed up the first time, now I can!
