Puzzled with Suggest Design in Artisteer

I am trying out Artisteer to be used with Wordpress (yes version 3 of WP) and am a bit puzzled on Suggest Design for a templated. Is pressing the Suggest Design button the only way to see what appears to be random suggestion from Artisteer? It seems to me that this is a time consuming operation and presenting the user with a gallery or some way of seeing more designs at the same time would help.

Yes, you are correct. Suggest Design gives a random configuration of all the different options (and there are many of them). When you hit upon something that you like - size/colour scheme/positioning of things you can then stop clicking it and start using the other tabs to tweak your design - change colours/sizes/positions.
There is no "Blank Canvas" theme to start building from, though some people, like myself, have created a basic theme - everything in black and white and use this as our starting point.
There would be no point in having a gallery of templates, as there is such an amount of templates that can be created from all the different features.
(It doesn't work very well with WP version 3 just yet.)

This would be great but Artisteer create one theme at a time based on suggestions.

Ease into the program... take your time and explore... let go of your stress begin to enjoy yourself and venture off into the world of Artisteer...
You can change the entire template from the main Suggest Tab as you have done, or you can use the Suggest button with each of the various tabs, this will change only an aspect of the template, your choice... this can then be further modified...
As each individual (with mind containing 100-500 trillion synapses, built in visual, audio, memory connectors etc. ) approaches this program as it is designed to work, the possibilities are nearly endless...
Hope this helps some.
Cheers, David
