Hi.
I'm using Artisteer 2.4. Trying to publish template to blogspot via picassa: entering login, password, choosing blog from list - Artisteer creates folder on Picasa, uploading ~one half of images and when going to header.png - uploading is canceling with message "Error - Publishing Failed. Error Uploading Image."

Who has such problem? How to solve it? In version 2.3 also was this bug. Help, please, it's very important function!

I had a similar problem with a background. I had a custom background that would not load. I would change to a stock background and it would work perfectly. Would try the custom background again ant it would fail. I tried a png version and a jpg version and both would fail. I tried a smaller version (much smaller) and finally got it to work.
Try compressing the header as small a file size as you can without affecting the look and see if that helps.

I had the same problem, so I contacted the support!
(With Artisteer 3 Beta now it works fine!)

This was their answer.

Hello

We're aware about this issue.
It only happens when you use custom domain under the Blogger settings.
Please try Artisteer 3 Beta.
It should work better:

We plan to update Artisteer 2.5 in the near future.

Best regards

I have the Artisteer 2 version which I paid for. I am trying to make Blogger templates with it and have noticed I get the same "Error - Publishing Failed" message on the header section. I've noticed that, for me, this only seems to occur when I add a Flash header. When I replace the flash header with a normal image (jpeg for example) it will publish okay. I think Blogger is not compatible with Flash images but I'm hoping to find a solution for that problem. I don't have a custom domain and I don't think that could be the problem.

Hey,
So I am sticked to this problem too!
I have tried backgrounds from Artisteer itself, but it still isn't working.
I'm really dissapointed about this because i worked hard on it.
It says:
Unable to upload image: loading error. Code: wrong_file_type. Message: wrong file type detected for file flash.swf:image/swf

Does anybody knows what I need to do?

Lisa picasa doesn't support flash files. you must upload your template without the flash header. and then you can learn from this tutorial about adding a flash header in artisteer templates:

Whenever I export as a Blogger, my template looses all information that goes below the header. It appears blank. I have no idea what is going on but I really need it fixed.

It looks like the problem exists for at least a year, even after version upgrades. I’ve tried to change the backgrounds, use flashes, not use flashes, custom domains and not custom domains….

If anyone have or had the same problem, PLEASE HELP!! This is the most important feature, as if you create a template and cannot export it, Artisteer is not worth at all…

Many thanks!

thank you, but iI dont see nothing about the problem there (blogger doest take the flash file). I have it ilocated in xooimages, which is free, so I have not wordpass etc, so how I fill the blancks in export options? Blogger takes my swf file but in the simple own template. So, easier: What should I do to upload an artisteer template in blogger with an swf file?
I than you a lot, because I spend the last 3 days in that withot result. (Forum in spanish for artisteer? Sorry for my english)
