Hello,
I've created a Joomla template with a menu bar directly under the header, and I've made the buttons 50x50pix. Now I'd like to place different pictures on each button but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that. You can choose from the canned textures, but there isn't a file selection box.
Anyone know of a way to do this?

The problem that you are having is with what called the CSS. The way that it usually works is that the buttons are controlled with the code found in the CSS of that particular template. Normally stuff such as button pictures use on one picture and if and when you go to change what picture it points to it changes all of the buttons images.
The real problem is trying to get the computer top separate each and every button so that it possesses a different CSS Class although this can be done it is tricky and requires knowledge of not only CSS Coding but html and PHP
my recommendation is to do it directly using html and you appreciate text editor in Joomla such as JCE and place a image then attach the link that you wish for the button feature to work. This is by far allot easier than having top learn the necessary code.

You can't place a unique image on each button easily but can put single image on every menu button. Menu buttons image consists of three sub images in Artisteer created templates, simply open that image from exported images folder ad edit it in a photo editing software.
