I need to edit my template that is active on The problem is that I cannot find the saved template. Is there a way to take the active template and import it into Artisteer so that I will then be able to edit the template?? I would really hate to have to start from scratch. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

This is a feature I would certainly appreciate! The ability to import a Artisteer created CSS file into an Aristeer project. Kind of reverse engineer a Template.

I would imagine that would be bordering on the impossible to do! :-O :-@

The complexity of this would be overwhelming...

Imagine the huge range of html/css/js styles out their on the web.

I would suggest that the resources to provide this feature would be more that required for what Artisteer does now...

In the time I have been here which is almost a year a lot of people have asked for this & I understand the thinking, but I just don't think this is going to happen!

I have a client who wants to migrate from Joomla 1.5 to 3. The site's template was made with Artisteer, which I can tell by reading the readme file in the template directory. But it was not made by me. If I had the original Artisteer "source" file, I would buy Artisteer (I have never used it, but I am intrigued.) and then could re-output it for another version of Joomla. Fast and simple.

But without the original source? Unlike other posts on this thread, I am not asking to import any templates, only ones that were generated by Artisteer originally. Can that be done?

Unfortunately, this can't be done.
Sorry for that.

The only thing that you can check is that your customer might have included the option "Include ARTX project" when exporting the template previously. So you can go to the template folder on the customer's FTP and check whether it contains the .artx file.
