How do I disable suggested designs? Or how do I start a completely new joomla template without having anything to be suggested? I don't understand why in my paid version constantly something is disabled and not possible to set up: ether main menu bar or footer or passive/active buttons or something else or all together!? This is completely frustrating!
Please someone help as soon as possible!

Hi Zanna,

It sounds like you need to start with the basics...

Have you read the docs ?
Also read through the faq's
( both via the menu on your left )

I don’t have any problem with working with this program; I just can’t find how to prevent it from disabling different functions on its own.
Please send the link of exact place where it is explained, because I can find it not in documentation or FAQ or in forum. Or suggest yourself to help me with this matter.

Certain items are disabled based on choices made as you create the design.

If you choose a design without a menu bar, then noen of the menubar items will be "enabled" for you to use.

If something is 'disabled', it is because of something you chose in the design.

The app starts up with a suggested template depending on which publishing system you want to use. For instance, if you choose JOOMLA as the publishing system you are designing for, it will start out with a suggested template design. You need a place to start, and it doesn't really matter what it is because Artisteer allows you to completely redesign the suggested template.

Simply choose the item you want to change and start playing around. It isn't rocket science and doesn't require much more instruction than CLICK on options and change as necessary.

I can go from the suggested template to a completely white template with no added backgrounds, colors, icons, menus, blocks, and footer in mere seconds... Mostly because I kept playing with the application until I was comfortable with it. Don't be afraid to play with it and see what each of the options does.

All options are not available for all the suggestions, for example no one wants to insert black color text on black background.

Thank you all so much for explanations, it was so very helpful. Apparently I misunderstood the way Artisteer works. Thanks everybody again for your time and affords.
