Pb changing the shet background color |

Hi
I have selected a sample template that has #899274 as background color.
I have changed that color to # EEF2D5 saved, uploaded and guess what the background color is still #899274.
I tried to make it blue or red, the changes are made, but not with the color I have selected.
I have looked in the style file, but didn't find 899274 as color
Does any one know how to change it ?

Firefox also has an extension that can find these things called firebug
