Many of the themes from Studiopress.com many featrure a 468x60 poster banner in the header as well as the abiliity to place a similar banner at the end of each post.
Is it possible to achieve this with Artisteer, and if so how please?

There are lot of banner management plugins available for Wordpress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/banner

Thanks, but I don't need a banner managment plugin thanks. The banners I refer to a widget areas where adverts can be placed. Can Artisteer support the placement of say 468x60 widgets in the page header or post footer?

You can't do it with Artisteer but you can use a text widget (going appearance-> widgets) on your Wordpress admin to place your desired adds in your sidebars.

this cant be done in artisteer.
but with a few
css and php edits to your template
its as easy a py (pie)
im no expert at css or php im not even a novice
so if i can you can do it.
take a look at my wordpress theme on my site
http://www.bwlewis.info
if thats what you after then download the theme
and look through all the files for the changes i made
there are a few of them.
you will also need the adverts.php file
as this puts out a random banner on page view
its included in the download......
if you need help just contact me from my site

I would like to know if there is a way in artisteer to create a layout similar to this theme from studiopress:
http://www.studiopress.com/demo/lifestyle.html
notice how the side bar splits into two side bars and the posts are split into two columns with thumbnails.
not to crazy about the big flash scroll below the headers but you know the idea.
any hints would be greatly appreciated!!

You can read Artisteer documentation here: http://www.artisteer.com/?p=wiki but you need practice in order to start making good designs

Garry,
I did download the demo version of Artisteer and printed the user manuall and read the manual cover to cover, unless I missed it, there is nothing to explain how to break up the page the same way the studiopress (life styly theme)

How to Add 468X60 banner to header.php of Artisteer themes:
Step 1.
Paste this in header, above <div class="logo">
<div class="468">
<table style="width: 468px" cellspacing="5" align="right" cellpadding="10"">
<tr>
<td>
Step 2. PASTE 468 BANNER CODE HERE
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
Step 3.
Paste this code below in style.css
}
#468, .alignright {
float:right;
padding-top:15px;
padding-right:10px;
}
(notice how I'm not asking you for a $100 like some people?)

Whoops, never mind the <div class="468"> and code code for style.css. Not needed. It is a table, not div. There are lots of ways to do it.
I have rotating ads in mine, using the WPads plugin.

Hi,
Thanks to everyone on this thread!
Can anyone help me with Adam's code?
My Wordpress Artisteer header.php did not have a divclass=logo, so i just put above something similar... this results in a flash imbed, yes, but the header is a little messed up.
Here is the header on display: http://www.3laptopbroadband.co.uk
Here is the code: (sorry, no attach button so u get the whole file!

You're welcome, but it is a makeshift solution at best, and may not always work (Check how it looks on different browsers and different versions of IE). Bud provides a superior solution for adding a 468X60 banner to an Artisteer theme on his page here:
http://budstechshed.com/category/artisteer/page/2/

I used the code below and it worked perfectly.
How ever I want to add another space enter the banner to place some social network icon code, but I can not get it all to align to the right
