How do you PHYSICALLY do the upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2?

I put in a serial and an installation code on the website and it gave me a product activation key but it isn't working... i'll e-mail them all my info now.. I'm trying to install this on my laptop which I have never done before... haven't tried upgrading on my desktop yet. does that matter?

They could at least told us that the re - activation was needed so we could dig out out code before starting.

To me it appears that the structure of the files has changes so some of the modifications that people have published that help with Joomla title headers do longer work. Boo Hiss.

Has anyone looked into this?

Yippee! The new version is installed and running fine! Temporarily hooked the "main frame" to the net and ran the 2.2 install. Here's the scoop:

- yes, it DOES remove the currently installed version first
- yes, you DO need to enter your license key and then activate
- yes, the online activation recognized my license key

Had an important project to complete tonight, took the bait to upgrade and now dead in the water waiting on customer support... guess i'll take the rest of the week off. Oh, but wait, I have bills to pay!
