Hello everyone,

I was trying the Artisteer Demo, and was wondering if there's a possibility to import HTML into Artisteer. I have designed my own template wich I want to convert to Joomla. Anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks,
Jannet

Hi Jannet,

It goes the other way around, Ariesteer produces a template, and can then export this as a Joomla template. Inside, if you choose export as a folder, is a text file, with how to letting Joomla select it

While designing your template/theme you get options every where to insert your own images and you can insert some from your computer

Hello,

That's too bad, because my problem is: I have designed a template with photoshop, I sliced it, and now want to export it to Joomla.

Thanks!

And how about importing single form code into Artisteer template? This would be nice.

I've digged deeply into Artisteer Library/Data/Templates files and realized that templates are described in XML format, so potentially there is an ability to create my own template and work with it in Artisteer. This is my target by now, because without such ability it is quite difficult to design good website, export and then modify something in layout just because my client needs to add some gallery with it's own css or very custom form with own css/js scripts.

Creating a custom template for this is a great option, I think.

Although I'm still a fan of Artisteer, this one-directional approach limits it so much as to make me NEED to look elsewhere for a program that can import a ready-designed Wordpress (for instance) theme. I'm sure they've got to be working on it to work with at least Wordpress themes to begin with, and then other CMS themes. Cmon Artisteer, keep your customers on-board and happy. ...:)

WHY learn code when you use Artisteer!
@bj true.. Artisteer are for create theme and nothing else.

I think www.blogger.com/ is the most simple blog where you have no knowledge of codning, one can then not so much.
then there is WordPress, which is also a blog

So now we need to find a tool to do a data transformation of the XML view of any given wordpress screen , let us choose elements in the XML that match Artisteer's defaults, and let technology do the rest .

I would gladly contribute my $2 to the crowd-sourcing on this -- that's a 100% increase over the two cents I contributed with the suggestion,.

Meant to type WordPress "scheme", not screen.

Artisteer 4.0 information says it can work with html files. However, Artisteer 4.0 won't allow you to see anything other than artx files.

@ DumboDancer

You can design complete HTML websites in Artisteer.

sajdaal

Right click in the article, select Edit source HTML and add following HTML:

<a href="http://www.yoursite.com/your-file.pdf">This as a PDF</a>

You need to upload the pdf file in root of your site using an FTP client.

I'm running into the same problem now. And while I certainly agree that it isn't possible for Artisteer to understand all CSS/PHP/HTML and what have you not, out there that people mocked up and then want to edit in Artisteer, I would certainly expect it not to be too difficult for Artisteer to import it's own exported .zip files since it only has to reverse its own actions and syntax.

My problem happened like this: I am a dumb*ss, to start with, and put a whole lot of work in a template that needed to be perfect in one single way. It was. I exported it. My system crashed before I could save the project. Now I need to alter something in the template, but am unable to, without recreating the template entirely from scratch, using the exported (now "source code") files as a basis for sizes and colors used etc. Let alone a lot of other stuff.

So that would be nice, if Artisteer could import it's own exported templates for reasons such as nitwits like me run into :( ;-)

The fact is few lines of codes can achieve it...
The lop side is a lot of AI will go to making a simulated good design decision..
But these days of 4 GB+ GPUs installed on computers... its really worth the price. Who does it...Exporting code... setting up a PC Server... Test it and then redo the CSS... Then use another software, which makes ALL this work USELESS (Download a Site on DreamWeaver would work, wont it?) It has all the clicks to show potent working of code...
COmparing pricing of software that Do, I suggest, that this product includes HTML code as well... as a framework to apply neural networks to make better design decisions..
An AI based Hosting Site is coming up @8$p.m... so watch out for August...

Hello,
I have make a template in Artiseet 4.3 but when I have tried to export it to Blogger I receive this message :

"Impossible d'enregistrer le modèle. Votre modèle n'a pas pu être analysé car il contient des erreurs. Veuillez vous assurer que tous les éléments XML sont correctement fermés. Message d'erreur XML : The entity "nbsp" was referenced, but not declared"

Could you help me please?
